Product Overview

Ludwigia senegalensis

Considered as the most beautiful species of the genus, LudwigiaLudwigia senegalensis or Ludwigia sp ‘Guinea’ has more or less round leaves which are light brown colour when grow above water. The real transformation of leaves happens when this plant grows underwater. The newly emerging leaves develop brick orange colour with pink margins. The veins on the leaves turn pink in submerged conditions.

A delicate plant not suitable for newly set up tanks. Once the tank is fully cycled, this plant can be introduced. However, any inconsistency with respect to water parameters will affect the growth severely. It prefers soft water and bright light for its stunning look. Not a good choice for beginners.
